Description
Anju Shaw, 41, is a client of MCC partner Barrackpore Avenue Women's Cultural & Social Welfare Society (Barrackpore Avenue). Shaw was horribly abused by her husband before he left her for another woman in 2010. Through the support of Barrackpore, she once again has housing and took a tailoring class to be able to earn her own money. Barrackpore Avenue provides counselling for women who are survivors of abuse in Barrackpore, India.
