Description
Samir Menassa's store suffered heavy damage from the Beirut blast; it was within close proximity of the explosion.
Personal/Project impact
On Aug. 4, 2020, a large quantity of ammonium nitrate stored unsafely in a warehouse at the city’s port exploded, causing extensive damage throughout Beirut, Lebanon. FDCD, an MCC partner has helped Samir and many others by providing financial assistance to rebuild and preserve their shops/homes.
Project Summary
This project assisted 55 families affected by the Beirut blast. The assistance is through the rebuilding of homes and businesses, and provision of group as well as psycho-social support (PSS).
