Personal/Project impact
“If I did not get registered for this food, my children would have died of hunger," said Nyarwot Bim Chan.
The distribution of food and cash for milling expenses is funded through MCC's account at Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
Project Summary
SSUDRA aims to safeguard the availability of, access to and consumption of adequate, safe and nutritious food for displaced and food insecure households in Rubkona IDP camp, and Bentiu municipality. Monthly food assistance of sorghum, beans, salt and cooking oil is distributed to 800 of the most vulnerable and food insecure households over a period of 10 months (approximately 1,630 women/girls and 1,441 men/boys).
