Description
Sharon Ewert works on a table for a doll house she is renovating.
Personal/Project impact
The Ewerts are retired professors of Wheaton College who have established a hobby of renovating doll houses in their basement, which they sell at auction at MCC relief sales. They weren’t interested in quilting but wanted to contribute to MCC in a unique way.
The Ewerts have renovated doll houses since the 80s. They had donated 30 finished houses to MCC. The highest went for $2,500 while others have averaged $500–$800 more recently.
