Extra information:Nhung Tran-Davies (left) with Basemah Albittar (centre), from one of the newly arrived families, and interpreter Dalia Abddellatif (right). Tran-Davies' family were refugees, fleeing Vietnam in fall 1978, spending eight months in a refugee camp in Malaysia before being sponsored to come to Canada, arriving in 1979. She is now working with MCC and her friends to help sponsor two families of refugees from Syria.
