Description
There are four people in Susma‘s family: her mother, father, younger brother and herself. Her parents make their living by farming and raising animals. Susma and her family are currently living in a house made from galvanized iron sheets after their house collapsed in earthquake in Dalchoki, South Lalitpur. They have started rebuilding their house using earthquake-resistant methods. RICOD is providing support for the skilled labour needed to complete the house, and will provide trainings in agriculture and livestock production so that the family can increase its income to meet daily needs and recover from losing their house and many possessions inside in the earthquake.
“Since our family home was brought down by the devastating earthquake of April 2015, I am looking forward to living in our new house.”
