The Tran family a few months after arriving in Canada in 1979, with toys donated by their sponsors. The family were refugees, fleeing Vietnam in fall 1978, spending eight months in a refugee camp in Malaysia before being sponsored to come to Canada, arriving in 1979. Nhung Tran-Davies (front right) is now working with MCC and her friends to help sponsor two families of refugees from Syria.
