Description
Caption: Adjiratou Ouédraogo, 26, and her son Sofiane Sawadogo, 2, were part of a health event and food distribution put on by MCC'’s health and sanitation partner, Foundation of Solidarity for the Promotion of Community Development in Noaka, Burkina Faso, in 2016. MCC photo/Bryce Thompson
Additional informatoin: The event took place at the village health center. Hundreds registered community members, mostly women, received canned meat and had their children's health checked.
Sofiane had acute severe malnutrition before receiving the help of FOSPDC, but now he is healthier and growing well. Adjiratou is very glad for the additional knowledge about health and nutrition she has gained through trainings held by FOSPDC, and greatly appreciated the canned meat to suplement their diets.
