The first MCC Thrift Shop was opened in Altona, Manitoba In 1972, with an expectation the project might last “three to six months.” More than forty years later, MCC Thrift Shops have grown into a North American network of over 100 shops, producing income for the programs of MCC — more than 16 million dollars in the 2014/2015 fiscal year.
