Description
Counsellor Mily Chatterjee (facing camera, peach shirt) listens to Anju Shaw (left) during a counselling session through MCC partner Barrackpore Avenue Women's Cultural & Social Welfare Society (Barrackpore Avenue). Shaw was horribly abused by her husband before he left her for another woman. Barrackpore Avenue provides counselling for women who are survivors of abuse in Barrackpore, India. Through the support of Barrackpore, she once again has safe housing and took a tailoring class to be able to earn her own money.
