In a village near Kharkiv,* Ukraine, volunteers help with the distribution of food, medicine and relief supplies for residents and people displaced by the conflict.

Personal/Project impact
All-Ukrainian Platform for Health Improvement of Society (KECB), a civic organization working with the Evangelical Christian Baptist Church Sokolivska, is purchasing and distributing food and medicines in the Kharkiv region as part of the emergency response project in partnership with MCC. Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine, is located 32 kilometres (20 miles) south of the Russia-Ukraine border and has experienced some of the heaviest fighting in the 2022 Russian military invasion.
Project Summary
KECB, situated in one of the villages in Kharkiv region, some 140 miles (225 km) northeast of Kyiv, is engaged in the following activities:
- Evacuation of people from dangerous areas.
- Providing housing assistance to people who have fled areas where shelling is taking place and are temporarily staying in the village where KECB is located.
KECB has housing where people can either spend the night or temporarily live. - Providing food, personal hygiene products, medicines, as well as fuel, sourcing the items from surrounding towns and cities. - Medical care is provided for those who need it.
