Description
Ernesto Gutierrez (right), director of IESII, serves himself food prepared by Fidelia Calvo Gomez, Argelia Ton Hernández, Rita Ton Hernández, Otelina Gómez López (left to right) and other members of the community.
Personal/Project impact
MCC Mexico staff visited the project supported by MCC partner Institute for Intercultural Studies and Research (Instituto de Estudios e Investigación or IESII). Members of the community demonstrated tomato plants growing in a greenhouse built with ISEII's support, which help keep the plants stable in an increasingly unpredictable climate.
Project Summary
The project helps families raise their levels of food sovereignty by improving their agricultural production systems for self-consumption, actively participating in processes of access, control and management of water sources.
