Description
An 84-year-old woman, center, discharged from hospital in the middle of the conflict in Ukraine sits with others at a nursing home run by MCC partner All-Ukrainian Platform for Health Improvement of Society (KECB), a civic organization working with the Evangelical Christian Baptist Church Sokolivska.

Personal/Project impact
The partner reports: "When the war began, this woman was in the hospital, from there she was brought to us. She did not see all the destruction and can't fully realize and believe that all this is actually happening. She needs to talk about it all the time. She has a house, which is now partially destroyed. She lives in the area of constant shelling, and it is not possible to return there now." She has repeatedly asked to be taken home.
Project Summary
KECB, situated in one of the villages in Kharkiv region, some 140 miles or (225 km) northeast of Kyiv, is engaged in the following activities:
- Evacuation of people from dangerous areas
- Providing housing assistance to people who have fled areas where shelling is taking place and are temporarily staying in the village where KECB is located. KECB has housing where people can either spend the night or temporarily live. They are also providing food for people.
- Providing food, personal hygiene products, medicines, as well as fuel, sourcing it from surrounding towns and cities.
- Medical care is provided for those who need it.
