Description
Sasha,* left, and Natasha, pictured with four of their five children, receive MCC canned meat from MCC partner All Ukrainian Platform for the Improvement of Society (KECB). \n*The village and full names of the people pictured are not provided for security reasons.
Personal/Project impact
Living in the Kharkiv region, both Sasha and Natasha have disabilities. Before the war started, Sasha had been employed, but now he has no work and the family can’t afford to buy meat. Through KECB, the family has meat as well as porridge.
MCC partner All-Ukrainian Platform for Health Improvement of Society (KECB), a civic organization working with the Evangelical Christian Baptist Church Sokolivska, received canned meat from MCC for a distribution in August 2022.
Project Summary
The goal of KECB's emergency response project is to help Ukrainians from the most vulnerable segments of the population of the Kharkiv region, as well as internally displaced families and individuals from the war zone, in meeting basic needs, including improving sanitary conditions, personal hygiene, and food quality, which will improve the physical and psychological health of project participants.
