Description
A resident,* left, in the village where MCC partner All-Ukrainian Platform for Health Improvement of Society (KECB) is based, talks with head of KECB when they brought food to her home.
KECB is a civic organization working with the Evangelical Christian Baptist Church Sokolivska.

Personal/Project impact
The woman has diabetes. One of her legs was amputated some time ago because of the condition and the wounds on her other leg are also caused by diabetes. She is using a wheelchair.
She lives with her husband who is addicted to alcohol, which often leads to them struggling to afford necessities. Often she has very low blood glucose because she has nothing to eat. The partner organization visits this woman and brings her food packages. Volunteers from the partner organization visit this woman regularly to bring food packages and medical professionals who volunteer with KECB provide some medical care.
The current crisis adds difficulty and disruption to lives that are already challenged.
Project Summary
KECB, situated in one of the villages in Kharkiv region, some 140 miles or (225 km) northeast of Kyiv, is engaged in the following activities:
- Evacuation of people from dangerous areas
- Providing housing assistance to people who have fled areas where shelling is taking place and are temporarily staying in the village where KECB is located. KECB has housing where people can either spend the night or temporarily live. They are also providing food for people.
- Providing food, personal hygiene products, medicines, as well as fuel, sourcing it from surrounding towns and cities.
- Medical care is provided for those who need it.
