Description
Andy Balzer sits on a rock at Albro Lake Beach in Dartmouth, NS, where he and the Well Mennonite Brethren Church gave free hotdogs to community members on Natal Day during his Summerbridge term.
Summerbridge is an eight to 12 week service program for people over 17 who are attending a Mennonite or Brethren in Christ church, particularly young people from inner city or ethnic minority congregations. While with Summerbridge, participants get a stipend from MCC and their local church to work in the church or a community organization doing projects such as planning youth activities, repairing buildings or teaching music lessons.
